Often as part of a turnkey consortium, our services include route survey and planning, tower design, conductor selection, tower spotting, staking tables, stringing and sagging charts, drum schedules, SIMM (Supply and Installation of Materials Manual) and O&M (Operation and Maintenance) documentation, and project and contract management.
We have executed over 2,000 km of overhead transmission lines in various countries in the SADC region, including over 300 km of the more than 1,000 km long Caprivi Link Interconnector 350 kV DC Line, connecting the power grids of Namibia, Zambia and South Africa. We have an internal Project and Programme Management Team that has extensive experience in the implementation of power line projects. Registered with the UK Association of Project Managers, our team is conversant with several international contract documents, including FIDIC and NEC3 suites.

Metering & Electricity Vending
EMCON has been conducting detailed meter surveys and audits since its inception. We have to date audited over 17,000 revenue meters, ranging from domestic to large power user installations, both conventional and prepaid meter types.
