Established in 1992, we as EMCON Consulting Group is a wholly Namibian owned consulting firm providing engineering, project management and specialist technical services to public and private sector clients. The company has offices in Windhoek (Namibia, head office), Ondangwa (Namibia) and Lusaka (Zambia). We are registered with the Namibian Association of Consulting Engineers and subscribe to its constitution and code of ethics. Our international experience has a strong southern and central African focus and includes projects in Lesotho, Mozambique, Angola, South Africa, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Uganda and Kenya. Beyond the African continent, we have consulted on projects in China and Germany.

Data Gathering, Inventories & Asset Valuation
EMCON has over 15 years experience in the valuation of electrical distribution and transmission system assets, asset surveying, data gathering and asset inventory creation.
Electricity Distribution Master Planning
EMCON conceptualised and developed the original Rural Electricity Distribution Master Plan for Namibia, taking an integrated approach to consider both grid and off-grid solutions for rural electrification.
General Engineering Consultancy Services

Grid Electrification
EMCON pioneered rural grid electrification in Namibia, developing an appropriate electrification concept as well as the associated technical standards, introducing prepayment metering to the country as part of the process.
Metering & Electricity Vending
EMCON has been conducting detailed meter surveys and audits since its inception. We have to date audited over 17,000 revenue meters, ranging from domestic to large power user installations, both conventional and prepaid meter types.
